八雲学園中学校高等学校

金曜から月曜日まで4連休でした。連休中は寮が休みに入るので、友達の家にもう1人の友達と一緒に泊まりに行きました。友達の家はとても田舎にあり、学校から車で1時間半かかりました。牧場が多く、家の庭から牛や馬が見えたりと、東京とは真反対の景色が広がっていました。ゲームをしたり、自転車に乗って近くの街まで出かけたり、毎晩みんなで楽しく夜ご飯を作ったりしました。1日目の夜は、みんなでバーベキューをしました。2日目の夜は、友達が日本食のカツカレーが凄く好きだと言っていたので、3人で作ることにしました。街にあるスーパーには、インターナショナルコーナーがあって、そこには日本のカレールー、パン粉、お米などが置いてあったのでそれらを使って作りました。カツの衣が少し物足りない感じになってしまいましたが、結果的にはとても美味しく出来ました。3日目の夜は、友達の1人がインドネシア人なので、昨日の余ったお米で3人でナシゴレンを作りました。途中で大事な調味料がなくなってしまい、少しチャーハンに近い感じになってしまいましたが、とても美味しかったです。4日目の夜は寮に戻り、ピザを食べ、授業に備えて早めに寝ました。

The school had a long weekend which was from Friday to Monday. Dormitory was closed for this long weekend, so I stayed at my friend's house with another friend. The house where I stayed was in a very rural area, and it was an hour and a half drive from school. There were many farms, and the scenery was like the opposite of Tokyo. Animals such as cows and horses could be seen from the house. We played games, rode to town by bike, and made dinner every night. On the first night, we had BBQ.  The second night, two of my friends said that one of their favorite Japanese food is Katsu curry, so we decided to make it together. In the supermarket in the town, there was an international corner, where they had Japanese curry powder, bread crumbs, and rice, so we made it using them. We felt that the Katsu wasn't  crunchy enough, but overall, it was very delicious. On the third night, since one of my friends was Indonesian, three of us decided to make Nasi Goreng with the leftover rice from the day before. Unfortunately we ran out of some important seasonings while cooking it, so it felt a little like fried rice, but it was still very delicious. On the 4th night, we went back to dormitory, ate pizza, and we slept early for school.
